Great looking store, bright, organized and friendly people. The guy behind the counter was getting his scratch on while I was shopping which was cool. Now I'm not a DJ, I'm just a vinyl lover. Talk to these guys if you wanna talk equipment and sound because apparently at one point, they've personally used everything they sell from headphones to speakers to cartridges and such.

What a selection! Mainly hip hop, R+B and plenty of old school. If you flip through their selection carefully, you'll find some great albums you can add to your collection. Lots of good remixes of popular jams too that you can listen on any of their turntables/headphone kits. This is the kind of store you can spend at least an hour in, and trust me I have already. Some elusive records I've found: JT Futuresex/Lovesounds, Kanye West Stronger picture disc, Common remixes like no other.

Records I've bought here:
The Firm - The album
Nas - God's Son
Cam'ron - Come Home With Me

One of the best places to pick up your vinyl in the Bay Area. This is a hip-hop based record shop geared to for the DJ. They have an excellent selection of hip-hop and R&B records and compilations, both mainstream and underground, new and used. Their selection of records from Bay Area artists is hard to beat. They also have sections for reggae, dancehall, and hard-to-find old school records. They also have mix tapes galore. I always find myself picking one up just to have some tunes in the car or for background music during my gigs.

One of the things I really like about this spot is the atmosphere. The owners are super laid back and fun to chop it up with. They have a DJ set-up and if you walk in at the right time, you might be treated to some live mixing while you shop for your wax. They also have listening stations so you can preview your music. Sometimes I just come in just to relax and listen to some records.

Great place for vinyl geeks to unite.

I'm on the same page as Mike P. who said "One of the best places to pick up your vinyl in the Bay Area." Vinylheads will have no problem here. B-side keeps a good stock and it always seems like they're getting in stock constantly. Some of their vinyl runs a little bit cheaper then other places which is a good plus.
What's even better is the staff themselves are DJs and if you have a question or something, they know what they're talkin' about, know where to find it, and you might get more then what you were expecting.
But I'm biased because one of the guys I looked up to (DJ Pone) when I was just starting out DJing works here. BUT EITHER WAY B-SIDE IS STILL ONE OF THE BEST FOR VINYL!
